I’ve finally got my act together and sorted out this website. I’d been putting it off for several reasons:

  • I’ve mastered procrastination. If you want to see proof of this, I can provide you with a very-official-looking certificate – but it will take me a while to get this sorted for you.
  • I wasn’t sure what to put on here. Photos of me on holiday? Recipe ideas? A very, very short list of my greatest achievements: my procrastination certificate and a B in GCSE German and I.C.T. (short course)? Hmmm. I’ll stick to book things and try to make it interesting.

  • I really don’t know what I’m doing. Perhaps I’m missing something, but it’s not as straightforward or intuitive as I’d expected.  I know what I want to do, but getting there is a whole different matter. It’s felt a bit like wading through treacle whilst carrying an elephant after running a marathon…with my legs tied together. And I’ve still not got where I want to.  But you have to start somewhere – a bit like when writing stories, I suppose.

And, speaking of elephants, you’ll find one in my and Kate Hindley’s new book.  It’s called You Must Bring A Hat and it’s going to be published on June 30  by the lovely folk at Simon & Schuster.

It’s available to pre-order on Amazon, at Waterstones or here if you’d like to support your local bookshop, which is always a good thing to do!

‘Til next time…
